Wonderfully Located Fully Equipped Studio in Roma Norte by VIATO HOMES

The pros are that this apartment is in a great location and that the host was very responsive. However, the photos of this property are quite misleading and we were disappointed in the unit itself. The photos make the unit look bright, brand new, and spacious but that is not accurate. When we first entered the unit, we immediately noticed that there were water leaks all over the floor (in the bathroom, kitchen and into the bedroom). When we used the shower (which only has cold water) after a long travel day, it caused additional water leakage, so much so that we had to call maintenance on an urgent basis. When cleaning up the water we could tell that there was rotting and moulding of the wood throughout the unit, which makes us believe this has been an ongoing issue that has caused some damage to the unit. There is only a small window making the unit quite dark, contrary to the pictures. It was quite hot despite them giving you a fan as there’s no air-conditioning. The couch was extremely stained and we were not even comfortable using it as a result of that. The unit generally felt stuffy and dirty. Despite the good location and good host communication, we just felt very misled by the photos and had a very different experience than what he anticipated. We had to stay an extra night in Mexico City and ended up moving to a different property as we did not want to stay here another night.

Positive: The location was good and close to everything. Negative: The apartment was totally different from the photos. There was only one very small window at the bedroom. The air was stuffy and heavy. The owner mixed photos of the apartment with other apartments giving an illusion of a bright space with lots of windows. It might be true for other apartments, but not for the studios at the back of the building. They need to give proper descriptions separately for each apartment.

Very very bad. Positive: Design and staff. Negative: Everything was dirty, the plates and cutlery were with tons of dirt. The toilet was super dirty with lots of pee stains all over. When we lifted up the first pillow, we saw lots of black things and dirt on the other pillows, which clearly no one replaced the sheets before we came.. Obviously the apartment wasn't cleaned before we came. We couldn't sleep ! Tons of noise from the lobby and the other room next to us ! From 16:00 till 4:00 in the midnight, a large group kept yelling and we heard everything non stop, it was one of my worst nights ever. In the room there's a window to the lobby for some reason where people can see us ( no curtains), not just they can see us but also every time people turn on the light and it gets to the room while you sleep. Why would you place a window to the lobby ? For what reason ? The lights in the room were flickering, giving us headaches. The bed was not comfortable at all, and the sheets were tough to sleep on so we took them out. No air-conditioning. We got a heat stand which was useless. Add an Aircon please, it's essential.

Positive: Perfect location, nice and quiet, very good condition and well equipped. Clean, safe, everything I need. Will definitely stay here every time I visit mexico city. The communication and staff were very friendly and approachable too
