Bright and spacious apartment near old town Merida Positive: The apartment was clean and well maintained. It had a different layout from a traditional apartment as the rooms were split between two levels with a full bath and kitchen/living area on one floor and the bedroom on the floor above. The living area and bedroom itself were filled with natural light. The kitchen had all the essentials if you want to prepare meals there although there are so many great restaurants in Merida that I recommend eating out when you can. The bedroom was very spacious and had a full ensuite bathroom which was nice. The host was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the stay, and provided excellent restaurant recommendations. Negative: Because the property is located on a corner, there was some noticeable street noise from passing cars. However, it didn't detract from the overall experience.
